We exist to strengthen churches by discipling men to be faithful leaders at home and in the church. Our model is simple, straightforward, and reproducible: pray, develop a relationship, engage in growth together.

“If we walk in the light as he is in the light we have fellowship with one another.” This is possible, this is critical.
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy, and at your right hand are pleasures forever.” Ps 16:11
I absolutely love what Joe Smith and Strengthening the Church are doing. Both as a Christian and as a pastor, I cannot endorse this ministry highly enough. While eldership and discipleship are at the heart of healthy Christian living, they are often lacking in the local church. I greatly appreciate the fact that StC is working hard to raise awareness of this need. StC provides sound doctrine alongside the practical help and tools needed to help churches truly grow. By providing friendship, substantive conversations, prayer, seminars, and resources, StC has truly strengthened our church.

Real discipleship takes place when someone cares and loves me enough to ask the hard questions, and I know that have a prayer brother that will walk alongside me and help hold me accountable.

As a pastor, it is always a temptation to become isolated and neglect my own soul care and that of my family. When we identified the most pressing need of our church as men’s discipleship and raising leaders, Strengthening the Church ministries helped us launch a men’s discipleship program. I am amazed each month at the increasing love for God’s Word and love for one another in the life of our men. I am also amazed at the commitment of our men to continue the journey and to make disciples themselves. Strengthening the Church has made an eternal impact on our church. Your entire church will benefit by this ministry. My life and my church have not been the same!
Benjamin Bolin, Pastor
Strengthening the Church is challenging, and because it is challenging, it grew my faith exponentially in a very short time. When our session was complete my wife strongly encouraged me to begin another session and invite as many men as I could think of to join with me in the journey, because she "wants other wives to experience the same growth in their husbands". Strengthening the Church challenges men to live in obedience to pursuing a deeper knowledge of our Creator, and the Word and the Holy Spirit do the rest!
